Apex runs its CloudLab LIS on Microsoft Azure Servers which Microsoft guarantees to be in full compliance with all applicable CLIA & PHI requirements. Apex has substantial experience building applications that are in compliance with CFR 21 Part 11 and related National Archives and Record Administration requirements.

In addition to Microsoft-supplied security Apex provides aggressive, robust and thorough protection for all CloudLab data including:

• Azure disk encryption
• 256 bit AES encryption of all result reports
• Backups through Acronis Cyber Cloud
• 24/7 monitoring and alerting of server activity

Finally, Apex has a contract with NIT of Colorado to provide real-time monuitoring of our Microsoft Azure Servers to ensure both continous operation and PHI compliance.
